Endodontic microsurgery
It is a relatively young area of dentistry. It was developed on the basis of endodontic (root canal) treatment, when an operating microscope was introduced for root resection procedures. It turned out that under the control of strong magnification, minimally invasive and precise surgery of periapical tissues became possible. Today, surgery under the guidance of a surgical microscope is gaining more and more popularity.
